The International Accounting Awards are the accounting profession’s benchmark for independent recognition. Run by Arena International Events Group in partnership with the International Accounting Bulletin, they exist to identify firms and individuals setting new standards across accounting, audit, and advisory — not to celebrate scale or longevity, but demonstrable excellence in how firms operate, grow, and serve clients.
The Accountancy Firm of the Year category is judged against four criteria: significant business growth, talent and leadership development and technological transformation.
Being shortlisted means an independent panel has assessed Rise Accounting against those criteria and placed us among the nine firms globally that best meet them. The other finalists include:
• AAB
• Azets
• CITYGATE ACCOUNTANTS
• KNAV
• Nexia Georgia
• PKF-CAP LLP
• Rise Accounting
• RSM Brasil BPO S/S
• T Accountants and Co
About the International Accounting Awards
The International Accounting Awards have established themselves as the premier independent recognition event for the global accounting profession. Past winners and nominees include a cross-section of the profession spanning global networks, specialist practices, and high-growth firms from across the ACCA network such as: Mercia Group, AccountsIQ, and Syft Analytics.
The awards are judged independently. Selection is based on evidence of excellence, not on firm size or commercial relationships. For a firm of Rise Accounting’s scale to be shortlisted alongside significantly larger practices reflects the strength of what has been built, and how it has been built, as well as our commitment to digital modern accounting practices that support fast-growth businesses on a global scale.
The 2026 ceremony takes place on 25 June at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
Why this matters
Recognition based on how we work, not just how we’ve grown
The Accountancy Firm of the Year criteria go beyond revenue figures. Judges assessed talent pipelines and how technology is being used to improve client delivery. Being shortlisted on those terms means something specific about the way Rise Accounting operates.
Independent validation for clients and prospects
An external shortlist from a respected industry body carries weight that self-promotion cannot. It tells clients, and businesses evaluating accountants, that an independent panel has assessed the firm and found the work to be among the best in the profession.
A signal about where accounting is heading
The firms on this shortlist are not traditional practices doing things the way they have always been done. They are firms actively reshaping how accounting works.
What the shortlist recognises
Growth
Rise Accounting has grown consistently by working with fast-moving UK tech businesses and UAE-based companies that need more than compliance. Clients who want a proactive finance partner, not a once-a-year accountant.
Talent and leadership
Every client at Rise Accounting works directly with ACCA qualified and chartered accountants, not account managers acting as intermediaries. That is a deliberate choice about how the firm is built, and it shapes the quality of advice clients receive from day one.
Internally, Rise Accounting has invested in structured training and development plans to support the team’s professional growth. The result is a firm where people stay. Strong retention means clients benefit from continuity.
Technology
Rise Accounting works with modern cloud-based accounting infrastructure to give clients real-time visibility of their finances. The goal is a finance function that supports decisions as they happen, not one that reports on the past.
"Being shortlisted for Accountancy Firm of the Year at the International Accounting Awards is genuinely meaningful recognition for the whole team. We set out to build an accounting firm that works at the pace of modern businesses, gives clients direct access to real expertise, and takes the administrative burden off finance leaders so they can focus on growth. To have that recognised independently, alongside some of the most respected firms in the profession, tells us we are on the right track."
